Cucumbers bigger than a dump truck, bigger than a school bus! Bigger than...Ok, not really, but I needed something for scale...
So our little garden is growing, and it's producing real vegetables! Brian picked our first harvest this past weekend, which we might have let go a bit too long, but needless to say, tada - cucumbers! My grandfather, Arvil, was part of our inspiration for the garden so he's going to get one of these inaugural three, and probably many more, with hopefully some potatoes, corn, tomatoes and who knows what else as well. Major kudos to Brian for optimizing all existing resources: dirt, brick, and fencing; and rigging a brilliant watering system using our rain barrels. It's a great garden! And we grew it all from seeds!! (Zeus ate the pumpkin, zucchini and eggplant plants...)

Dude! Nice cukes! And, uhm...are you doin' some off-camera lighting here? Perhaps practicing for the latest assignment in the Strobist Boot Camp? Nice shots!
