Best Friends

Things have been pretty zany for Roland lately. I was in the hospital for a while, he's now a big brother to a little sister, Nana was living with us, and all sorts of other strange things. Luckily, he was visited by his best bud Connor on Sunday which seemed to mend much of his moodiness. Despite refusing a nap, he managed to pull himself together and get lost in the fun of just having someone his size to play with. These two have always amazed me. They've known each other since they were about 4 months old, and they've always enjoyed each other's company. We can't even use Connor's name in our house because Roland obsesses about seeing him. They are always where the other is, but they don't have to be playing with the same thing. They go from toy to toy, lost in a wonderful toddler world, connecting, laughing and racing off to the next great adventure. It's really awesome to behold. We loved our visit from Steve and Michelle, (thank you so much!) and can't wait to see how the little sister fits into the mix of these two best friends. Yes, this was a "Hug each other for the camera" moment, but even in that, they laughed and wrestled each other to the ground.
