Many have asked how things are going between Roland and Aria and this is a pretty good photo to illustrate their current relationship. Aria enjoys the noise and commotion Roland causes, Roland enjoys his life regardless of Aria's presence. Brian is just off camera telling Roland for the fifth time that he can't jump on the bed while Aria is on it...and obviously Roland is listening attentively. Every day there are little moments where each recognizes each other, with a gaze or poke or some other strange act of toddler/infant interaction. Roland did ask politely yesterday, "Dad, can you hold Aria? I want a hug from mom." From this we know two things: he knows her name and he understands she generally needs to be held. Tomorrow they are blasting a crater on the moon in search of water. Maybe we'll have a discovery of our own, too.
(We did discover a new way to bathe Roland, in the dark! Good think Brian saved his water-proof scuba flash-light all these years!)
