As predicted, we did not get the 4 inches once rumoured to be heading our way. Snow in the South is like fire drills in grade school, you just go through the motions so in the event it happens we'll be ready. However, we did get the typical winter ice/snow-dust mix which caused every school in the state (except Dyersburg) to shut down. Roland stayed home with Brian and Ari for a fun-filled day of indoor-only play. Brian and I made a simple symbol scavenger hunt that ended with a left-over Christmas present. Then Brian built the awesome fort seen above. Luckily school was back in session on Friday. :) We've gotten a little bit more snow, maybe a 1/20th of an inch, so yesterday we took our must-run-laps toddler to the Nashville boat show for some strategic climbing and exploring. Whew. Fun to think about summer when it is 14 degrees outside. Saturday night we watched Ratatouille and raised the white flag. Roland is definitely winning these days.
