Aria, Roland and I enjoyed a quick weekend visit with my folks for Roland's birthday and the Easter holiday. True to Jones tradition, it was wonderfully predictable in its randomness. Grandpa Bob slayed a turkey, Roland puked up his entire dinner Friday night during the meal, Nash puked up after smelling Roland's diaper, Evan got picked on the entire time by his sibs, Roland escaped out of the house, twice, Calen decided Modelo is Spanish for Natural Light, Mom and I made the ugliest chocolate covered strawberries you've ever seen, I caught Roland laying in the middle of the pool table, and a couple more dozen laughs that are probably only funny to us (or would be appropriate to tell!) I can feel my dad just shaking his head... Poor Jennifer was on her own as Brian had to hang back till Sunday to join us.
I love seeing my parents house through Roland's eyes. It's actually my grandparents house, and it is a little bit Alice-in-Wonderland and a whole lot Charlie-and-the-Chocolate-Factory. Any given moment there is something random, rare and ridiculous available for inspection. Best of all, there's only a dozen or so closets to hide from me in.
I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful family, who absolutely adores my kids. Granted, you'll never get my brothers to change a diaper, but they are more than happy to laugh and point when Roland does something absolutely unacceptable. Thanks guys. Special thanks to my amazing parents for their wonderful patience and spirit. Enjoy the photos here.
