Real Simple Family

There is an extremely talented girl who I went to high school with, Rachel, who after graduating from UT promptly moved to the big apple and landed an awesome job at Glamour magazine. From there she transferred to Real Simple where she is now a senior editor of Real Simple magazine and the main editor of this special, special edition of Real Simple: Family.

From time to time Rachel reaches out to her gigantic facebook friend base - because not only is she super talented - she's genuinely one of the nicest people you'll ever meet (and going to be happily married soon!)  She happened to catch one of my random posts about Roland. In a nut shell, he was downstairs with Brian and asked for an ice cream sandwich for breakfast. Roland is, if anything, a determined little boy. No doesn't work unless it is said about 12 times with a handful of reasons. And after the 13th failed attempt Roland says:

Ha! No I did not! And of course he didn't get an ice cream sandwich for breakfast! So Roland's first publishing moment was a blatant embellishment at three years of age (technically two) in a women's parenting magazine. Which is an awesome read - I recommend everyone get their copy today!
