So, a year or so ago we met up in Jackson for one of Evan's soccer games. Between games we trekked out to a nature reserve for a hike to see some animals. Along the way we spotted the rare, but not endangered, "Textamous-momamous" also known as my mom, who is prone to texting at the most random of times. (Christmas morning, Thanksgiving dinner, breakfast, walking on a boardwalk...) Mom's pretty sharp with technology, so she's loving the two iPad's the school system hooked her up with for work.
Just so you know, she's only loaded appropriate educational tools on the machines, as I heard my dad call them, but even he says this one - Testa? - would have been great back in the 60s.
Roland loved the counting app, and mom showed me about a dozen other great educational apps for teaching numbers, letters, etc. Both my parents tried to convince me I needed to get one - for the kids educational well being. They have become such grandparents! I'm getting Roland a handheld black board and some chalk! Just like his grandfather Arvil had!
But seriously, these things are soooooooo cool. Just like my parents. Thanks for the visit Mom and Dad!

The free app is called " Tesla" as in the Nikola Tesla, not the group, who worked with electromageitism. Very fun!
