Terrific Tuesday

You know life is all about the littles, their little ways and the little things. Sure, there is plenty-o-crying and tons of because-I-asked-you-to, but somewhere in the midst of a mountain of dishes, dog hair, and dinner, you find yourself dancing with two naked goofballs surrounded by piles of library books. As if they were our audience. And they applauded!

It's hard to stop checking off lists to notice the littles doing little things, but tonight there were a couple I thought were really cool. Such as, Aria, having a melt down because I wouldn't let her play in the garage while the dogs were eating. She loves the playroom! Roland fed the dogs and cleaned up the bowls! And for once Aria laughed when I took away the stray dog food morsel...for the thousandth time. Roland decided to start coloring on the play house in the garage and told me he was drawing Aria a bow. How nice! And when I offered Aria three little carrots, she was clever enough to put one in each hand and one in her mouth! Smarty!

Now pros at putting their faces in the bath water and blowing bubbles, they had an impromptu ROAR!-fest that led to poking at each others teeth. And when Aria chomped down on Roland's finger, they just laughed and laughed and laughed. Go figure? Now sure, we're out of laundry soap and Roland has run me through almost all the sheets and underwear he owns, but tonight I was able to put both of them down together, with a book, bottle and some sweet thoughts sent Dad's way. By 8:15PM with not one second of TV time today. Amazing. A terrific Tuesday indeed. OH! And we're two-for-two on catching the train on the drive home! Here's to a great Wicked-cool Wednesday.
