Goofing Around

Aria is sitting in my lap as I type this, and she's got her hands on the desk, finger tips mimicking my typing. I caught her earlier tonight, sitting in front of Evan's laptop, which he left out on the futon, typing away, grinning like a mad man. We wanted to share this funny little video we shot tonight. Her hair has gotten so long! She's just cheesing it up for the camera. (Warning: this video is rated R for Nudity)

We weaned Aria off the bottle, transitioning to sippy cups, but she's done with all milk before bed. It only took a week. Awesome.

Tucking her in tonight she was a squirmy mess and I said aloud,
"Aria, it's bed time. Settle down and get some sweet dreams."
Roland answered from the bottom bunk,
"Mom, you know Aria's a baby and she can't say words. She doesn't know any."
"Yes Roland, I know, but she understands what I am telling her, and someday soon she'll be able to say words."
"Yeah, like 'dog' and 'boy'."

I thought those were strange choices, but I'm not a three year old. She can say Mom, Dad, No (really, really well), Go, Dog and grunts for everything else, but she's not made any identifying sound for Roland. That should be an interesting revelation.
