A belated Easter post
"Please, Roland, hold your sisters hand. Aria. Let Roland hold your hand. Her hand Roland, not her arm. Everyone, smile! Please - just for one moment and Mom will stop taking pictures!"
Wow. What a photo. Her clothes are too small, his are too big. We are a motley crew, with the best of intentions. Roland picked out those shoes, adamantly, at Walmart one Sunday. It has taken a full year to grown into them and they are still too large. He loves them.
Ari begs, no, screams for dandelions when we walk. Just like her brother, they bring her such joy. Waving them in the breeze, watching their little seeds blow of - albeit prematurely - into the air. Sometimes I wonder if we aren't responsible for all our neighbors yards. I probably have picked at least a hundred or so for them.
It's these little things. Dandelions. Spring days. Walks each night. Hopefully these moments are imprinting themselves into the fabric of our kids.
