Rosepepper Cheese-Bliss

Brian and I love most any Mexican food, (Karla's and Mas Tacos) but we really enjoy Rosepeppers. We tried it out - just the three of us: Brian, Aria and I - just after she was born. Yum. And the servers there adore babies. Put together a great experience, delicious food, awesome margaritas and a kid-friendly patio and you've got a recipe for repeat visits from the Throops.

Evidence of mild cheese dip sampling...
Saturday Nana, Jennifer, Calen, Roland, Aria and I settled onto the patio after a fun morning of strawberry pickin' in Portland. We always order cheese dip. (Especially after Calen got Roland to try the hottest salsa! Doh!) Everyone is a fan of the cheese dip but Aria took special interest this time. Basically, she ladled it into her mouth using chips and pretzels as spoons. The concept of double dipping was completely lost on her.
Sequestering the cheese dip and using a pretzel over and over again to dig out cheese...
It was subtle, but the bowl just kept moving closer and closer and closer to her. And that's when we noticed she was closing her eyes, titling back her head and eating cheese dip with a satisfied sigh almost every time. Apparently, that might be one of my genetic traits...and you should have seen her demanding a sip of my margarita. Oh well. 20 more years!
Don't even think about taking it away from her.

Loud, but worth it: (taken with my phone)

Thanks Nana for the awesome lunch, and Aria for the great entertainment!
