Nana and Bob's House

I love this photo. It looks like the kids had a KILLER party at Nana and Bob's house and passed out - stuff animals included - in the downstairs bedroom. Wait. That did happen!

Aria and Roland got to enjoy their first overnight visit without Brian and I to Dyersburg. I wasn't worried for an instant about the kids, I was just nervous the number they might do on my folks - because we'd like this to happen again!

It went perfect, as expected. Sure, there were typical sibling moments, and my parents had to learn some quick lessons about too-many-thousand-square-feet, three-acres + two super-mobile kids, and yes, Roland did try to kick Nana out of the bed, but it's all good. My parents had some pretty funny questions when I arrived on Friday night, and some great stories.

They got to play with Nash, visit the library, go with Bob to get a haircut at a real barbershop (where the barber gave Roland a pocket knife...doh!), went swimming, ate out, and watched a couple classic Disney movies on VHS...because they were from when we were kids, oh 20+ years ago. Hilarious...I don't even know where my mom, the world's greatest Nana, found a VHS player? That works!?! Whatever, Roland loved the Jungle Book.

Listening to Nana read books at lunch, Grandpa Bob is reading the nutritional contents :)
On Saturday night my poor mom was so tired she feel asleep the minute she hit the couch downstairs. These two pack some energy! Grandpa Bob had to lay down the law a couple times - but it was a good thing! We can't wait to come send the kids back!

Thanks Nana and Grandpa Bob!
