So...a whopping 13 days! That's it! And he's off and running like nothing ever happened! From here the area will slowly get smaller and smaller, with the stitches dissolving into the skin and the scar going away. (Snif.) I'm amazed at his resiliency, and inspired by his strength. The photos above also include a shot of his cast the night before it was cut off...barely hanging on with some tape.
More importantly, Roland's getting a sense of humour! Tonight all of us were upstairs on the bed watching Kiper (the dog with the slipper...) and he's just busting out at Arnold (a small pig who doesn't speak) playing in a make believe candy land! It was wild! He would laugh at things he thought was funny!
We got to see Uncle Ev secure a shut-out on Saturday during one of his traveling soccer team games. Evan got to play sweeper on Saturday night and Sunday, and played great! His team won the tournament! Way to go Evan!

OMG! I just read all of the posts about Roland's toe surgery - I think that I would have been a basket case! He looks like a trooper though - glad everything went ok. He is too cute!
