This is just a photo comparison between Roland's old size 6.5 vans and his new ones which arrived today, size 7. He managed to scuff the toes in the two hours he wore them tonight, which prompted me to take a quick photo of the before and after effect toddlers have on shoes. He adored his old pair and as you can tell, they held up remarkably well. We'll retire the old shoes till another Throop toddler needs them.
