I have a wonderful friend, who's also an amazing chef, mom, wife, etc., who is now cancer free. My whole being vibrates with joy and excitement, but my words are lost on such a momentous occasion. I wanted to find a picture that screamed "Joy!", but everything seemed inadequate. I found one that is more true to her love, her spirit, what makes her happy (besides her husband and daughter): the ocean. When I saw this shot I thought about how wonderful it is to feel the cool water, the warm sun and the tingly sand. (And then I had to add ten shouts of joy!) I hope it reminds her, too. From her we've learned so much about life, strength and this terrible disease.
