9 Months!

First there was...

Now there is...

How 9 months have flown!

Aria, you are every bit as amazing as we imagined you'd be, if not more. This morning I could hear you crawling around downstairs, making what could only be described as a duck-call-squawk-laser-beam sound effects as your breakfast of banana's rolled in wheat germ, egg yolk and cereal was prepared. As a special treat you got to enjoy some of your brother's wheat waffle with maple syrup, but just a little bit! You love feeding yourself and I think would prefer to eat finger food all day. Goodness knows, you aren't deprived of anything!

Roland and I set up some box towers in your bedroom for you to knock over and play with when you come upstairs. You're visiting your great-grandparents, Arvil and Jane, this morning and the rest of your day will be filled with play, naps, and love. You are such a proficient crawler, and love pulling up on things to stand and bounce around. Luckily, you haven't started "cruising" yet so you just fuss when you want to be taken from the standing to the seating position, no matter how many times your Dad and I show you! You love your puppies, and you really enjoy playing with your brother. He cracks you up! Between his singing, spinning, tushy-and-tummy bumps, he keeps you constantly entertained.

I love your super skilled little pointy finger - which you use to investigate everything and everyone. You give the most wonderful - and strong - kisses and your laugh is the best sound in the world. You've learned how to flip during diaper changes and still think watching us brush our teeth is hilarious. A new trick: sitting on the bathroom counter turning off the light so we glow blue from the night light in the mirror has you and your brother in hysterics. He literally falls off his stool laughing from just how goofy we look in the mirror!

Tomorrow is your 9 month check-up at the doctor and we'll officially find out just how tall and healthy you are! Roland is tagging along to get him looked over as well, it never hurts since we're there! I love you and can't wait for the weekend when we'll celebrate the Father's day with the world's greatest Dad - yours!

Love,

Mom

Update - you weight 21 lbs! Great job!
