I was pretty skeptical that we would get the forecasted snow, and dead wrong when I woke up in the middle of the night to see a perfect blanket of white out the window. I'll never understand what is so magical about snow days, like an extra Sunday in the weekend but so much more fun.
Breakfast of blueberries, bananas, fresh pancakes, scrambled egg and cheese wheat wraps, yogurt smoothies and more because we'll need or strength for playing in the snow. You should have seen the kids devouring their meals. Layer upon layer applied, and we're out the door to romp with the neighbors!
The snow was perfect for little feet. Cruchy, soft powder that packed perfect snowballs and was easy to walk in. I love the sound that a sled makes as it packs down untouched snow.
Our sweet next door neighbor, Audry
There he is, flying off...
We enjoyed tasting snow...
This is right after Audry laid down in the snow face first to get a better taste...
And then we enjoyed more pseudo sledding...
We snapped a photo like this last year, but Ari was so tiny she was just riding in my backpack!
Who'd have thought he'd have an entire Carhart outfit?
And then while I was at work they built an awesome snowman!
Wait for it...
Tada!
From the looks of things, and our school director's latest email, the kids will be home again tomorrow! More forts! More snow! More fun!
