Everyone has a dad...

But none are more amazing than Roland's! Superdad, as I like to call him, was celebrated all weekend long. Although the shirts we bought him didn't work out (he already shrunk one, the other had to be returned), we still managed to paint him a Father's Day painting (with an impromptu foot print or two), craft a card, and discover what he needed most: good golf on the TV, tons of hugs, cool air conditioning (it was hot this weekend) and a deck umbrella (which is AWESOME!) Just a few photos here...

Roland's been under the weather so we needed to keep a close eye on him and stay out of the heat, but it gave us all the more reason to have a family weekend at the house. We enjoyed the usual Throop Toddler Amusement park activities here at the house: pool, sandbox, drums, reading, bubbles, art, chasing dogs, cooking, etc., mixed with some Motrin and great golf on TV. Brian tried explaining golf to Roland, and he seemed interested, but I'm sure the concept is strange at this point.

Mostly, Roland and I just took turns telling Brian how much we love him, and how lucky we are to have such an amazing husband/father. I hope everyday is like Father's Day for Brian, because it is what he deserves.
