Happy 5 Months Aria

5 amazing, magical, wonderful months have flown by. There were moments of intense pause, and others barely a moment can be recalled.
Aria continues to constantly amaze us. Humble us. Make us over-the-moon happy and crazy all at the same time. I'm dazzled that no matter how long the day, how short the night, how challenging the week, her smile can energize the soul and clear your mind to only see her, hear her and love - her. She is so fascinating to watch, to play with, to show new things to. She is so different than her brother! But just like him, amazing in every single way.

Before Aria was born we would share the things we look forward to about a newborn: froggy legs, button noses, tiny hands, searching blinks of fresh, colorless eyes, scrunched toes. Would she have my eyes? His hair? Would it be a boy? A girl? What would Roland think? I still grapple with the pain of knowing how fleeting this time is, while Brian confidently thinks of the future. In between my feet dragging and his forward march, is the most incredible, beautiful, healthy, perfect baby who is actually guiding us. And doing a darn good job. As Brian and I dance in this vortex of our lives we encourage each other by sharing as many moments as we can capture, and reminding ourselves that all our kids know is love and attention, which is our goal above all. We love you Aria Lucinda.
