We live this strange cadence of set routines and ridiculous off-beat adventures. We'll go weeks without TV with the kids and then suddenly we're enjoying "Little Bill" in the early morning. This was a quick phase when Brian was out of town and I would be finishing getting ready in the morning. I snapped a quick shot of my two sleepy heads, snug in a sea of pillows and blankets illuminated by the glow of NickJr. (Granted, those flannel sheets aren't pretty to look at, they are pretty awesome in this non-stop cold spell we just can't break. Thanks Joan!)
We've ventured into the subject books at the library with Roland and they're pretty fun. You just locate a section, say sports, and there's tons of non-fiction books explaining them in great detail. He selected this book on the history of football. We all settled into bed to read it one night and Aria, who can't sit still for more than two pages, fell sound asleep listening to detailed descriptions of the first inceptions of football in the United States. I'll save you all my "Did you know?"
So when the book was done, we lingered there a little longer, just giggling at Aria falling asleep to reading a book about the NFL. We can't decide where she gets this gene from, as everyone, her Mom, Dad, Grandparents, and Great Grandparents are known to catch some quality z's during a lazy Sunday afternoon game.
But man-oh-man, that's one cute little football fan! (We laugh at how Aria holds her pacifier just on the right side like a little cigar.)
